Who’s Humza H? by Humza Hussain

Hey, my name is Humza Hussain and I will be starting my junior year at Cherry Hill High School East. My favorite subjects in school are biology, and chemistry (I’m a science guy), but outside of school I enjoy participating in basketball. I have been playing competitively since the sixth grade, when I scored 50 points in one game! I participate in basketball for my high school and for my AAU team, MAX SKILLS. I am also an animal lover. I have taken care of a variety of animals at my Uncle's farm in Pakistan like ostriches, camels, ducks, frogs and an albino water buffalo. I even dance battled a peacock. Aside from my love for basketball, science, and animals, I take pleasure in reading classic literature (Weird huh?) like The Odyssey, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Moby Dick. Another thing I like to do is watch movies. I am a big fan of Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

I am really excited to be a part of the TRIP program this summer. Because of my passion for the sciences, I knew TRIP would be the perfect program for me. Being able to experience life in the lab is something I always wanted to do. Not only is the science portion an enjoyable part, but meeting new people and making new friends is also a great experience. I can’t wait to learn more!
