Getting to Know Anjali by Anjali Patel

TRIP Initiative is a great way for me to get involved in research and challenge myself before college...I will be to meet new people, work under professionals, and learn more about their work.
Hello, my name is Anjali Patel and I am a senior at William Tennent High School. I have lived in Warminster my entire life, so I plan to move out and live somewhere else after high school. I am very passionate about traveling. My goal is to travel to all fifty states and seven continents, so I'm slowly working towards my goal. Some of my favorite places I have visited are Italy, France, and Switzerland and I would love to visit them again someday. I really enjoy playing the violin, creating and editing short films, playing lacrosse, and creating ceramics pieces. I recently finished my college application process as an intended major in biomedical engineering, and I have decided that I will be attending the University of Pittsburgh this fall.

I decided to participate in the TRIP Initiative because I want to pursue research in the future, so this is a great way for me to get involved in research and challenge myself before college. I will also be able to meet new people,  work under professionals, and learn more about their work. These past two weeks at the program have been incredible. I have learned so much about my peers and my instructors. In the future, I am excited to see which path I choose for my independent project.
